5. At the last of the file name, add the word “.old” (as in QBWUSER.ini.old).
6. Look for the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file which is located on C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
7. Right-click the EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and then click on the Delete option.
8. Select the Yes button to confirm.
9. Launch QuickBooks Desktop and then open the company file.
