What are the steps to Connect Canon MG3620 Printer to Wifi

Canon MG3620 Printer is a multifunctional printer. This device is suitable for office and home use. For accessing the printer from many devices, you can share it on the network. These printers are easy to set on Wi-Fi. New devices can be added using WPS and old models can be configured using the standard connection method.

Connect Canon MG3620 Printer to Wi-Fi using WPS 

Along with the printer, your router should also support a WPS connection. On the router, inspect the WPS pin. When the router has the pin then you can connect the printer directly. 

  1. Open Canon device and tap the Setup button
  2. Click on the Connection type
  3. Select Wireless LAN connection
  4. On router, press the WPS pin
  5. On Canon printer, hit the Wi-Fi button
  6. Check the Wi-Fi for blinking
  7. Check the network list on the printer screen

You have to choose the printer name and now the printer is connected. After your connection, you can find the printer on any device.

Installing Canon MG3620 Printer Driver

After a network connection, you can connect the printer with any device. But for communication with the printer, you need a driver. This printer software creates the communication and the printer can receive the print job. Get its setup from the Canon site. After installing the software on the PC, search for the printer. Choose the Canon printer name and send the print command. Load pages and take the printouts.

Use Printer Connection Standard Method

If your connection doesn’t support WPS then go for a standard connection. For this method, get the Canon software. Now run the software and configure the printer

  1. Select Next on Canon initial screen
  2. Go to connection method and select Wireless LAN connection
  3. Now the user has to select the Access Point Recommended option
  4. The Canon software starts looking for the previously connected printers
  5. Choose Not Found option
  6. The Canon setup will start installing
  7. Select Cableless Setup and then enable the Wi-Fi button
  8. Setting up wizard will appear 
  9. On the Region wizard, select the correct region
  10. Choose the Country and Language
  11. Select Next on the software installation list
  12. Now click on Yes on the EULA wizard
  13. Canon software will start installing 

After the printer connection; the SSID page will appear on the screen. Now follow the command to set the printhead alignment. Finally, tap on the Exit button and the printer is connected.

Troubleshooting Canon MG3620 Printer Connection Error

Try Connecting Printer with a Cable

If the Canon is not connected to your network then try using cable connection. Take the cable for the connection. If the printer is working on a wired network; you have configured the wireless connection wrongly. Create a new wireless connection and then try to use the Canon printer.

Reset the Canon Printer

Connection errors can appear due to invalid printer settings. To fix the error, you have to reset Canon MG2570s printer. Perform a Canon factory reset and all configurations will be reverted.

  1. Go to your Canon printer setup tab
  2. Use the arrow button and select Device settings
  3. Go to Reset settings and tap on Reset All

When you press the OK button; your Canon printer will reset with the factory settings. Now configure your Canon printer to the network again and take the printouts.

Remove Malware from the PC

Few people get connection errors on Canon printers with a particular device. The communication error may occur due to malware infection. The viruses on the computer can interrupt the printer connection. You should clean the PC and remove all malware. Use antivirus which can remove all viruses. After removing all malware, try reconnecting the printer device. 

Repair the Canon MG3620 Printer Driver

Without the Canon driver, the printer will not work. When you are getting connection errors, check for the correct driver. If the Canon driver files get corrupted; repair them. Use a driver repair tool that can fix all the driver files. You can also install a new driver instead of repairing the corrupted one. Go to the computer and select the Canon driver; tap on uninstall and remove it. Now get new Canon software and install it. Reconnect the Canon printer on the network and now take the printouts.
